When you need a little extra TLC, there's nothing better than a cosy night in, a new Netflix series and your fave face mask to boost your mood and brighten up your complexion. And, with winter on the horizon (gulp) and nights in becoming the new BNO, now's the time to really master your self-care routine... So we've called on Glamglow, Hollywood's go-to masking and skincare brand, to elevate our staying in-in game. Designed specifically to target breakouts, blackheads and tired skin, your at-home facial awaits...

Step 1: Cleanse
Cleansing your skin is probably the most important step in your routine – the key to healthy-looking skin all starts with removing every last trace of makeup and dirt, in order to let your mask and moisturiser get to work. First up, apply Glamglow Supercleanse: a cream-to-foam cleanser, it helps remove pore-clogging debris, excess oil and tough makeup, but without irritating your skin.

Step 2: Tone
Toning is v important to help clean and close up pores post-cleanse – especially if you have acne-prone skin, or you've noticed that blackheads are starting to pop up on your nose/chin/forehead. How to use? Shake to activate and, using a cotton pad, sweep the Supermud Acid Toning Solution onto your skin. It works super-hard, because it uses a special Super Six Acid Blend, as well as activated charcoal, to make your skin feel refreshed and squeaky clean.

Step 3: Mask
Applying a face mask once a week, or whenever your skin really needs a boost, can do wonders for your skin in the long run. If you’re looking for a pore-minimising formula with instant results, Glamglow's Supermud Clearing Treatment is where it’s at. The famous mud mask (you've prob seen it all over YouTube and Insta) is perfect for acne-prone skin and clearing blackheads. It's got a blend of six acids, charcoal and K-17 clay to help lift toxins, dirt and oil from the deepest areas of your pores. Using a mask brush or your fingers, apply the mask on dry skin and you’ll start to feel a slight tingling (don't panic: this is just the acids working hard to slough dead skin cells), then leave on for 5-20 minutes, depending on your skin sensitivity. FYI, if your skin’s a little bit more sensitive, we’d recommend giving the Thirstymud Hydrating Mask a go instead, for an extra burst of hydration.

Step 4: Eyes
The area around your eyes is the most delicate skin on your face, and it loses hydration a lot faster than other areas, causing dark circles, puffy lines and tired-looking eyes. How to fake a good night's sleep? On clean skin – and always before your moisturiser – apply a pea-sized amount of Glamglow Bright Eyes using your ring finger (be sure to use a dabbing motion when applying). Formulated with peptides, caffeine and hydrating hyaluronic acid, (which can casually hold 1,000 times its own weight in water), Bright Eyes helps to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier around the eyes and actually reduce signs of tiredness – result!

Step 5: Moisturise
Last but not least, it’s time to add your moisturiser. For an extra-glowy finish, Glamglow’s Glowstarter Moisturiser works as a hybrid facial cream/highlighter, adding an extra layer of luminosity to the skin before you apply makeup. It’s also packed with vitamins, botanicals, hyaluronic acid and a clever technology (TEAOXI™ golden root) to drench the skin with loads of hydration so your skin glows from the inside out. Choose from shades like Pearl, Sun and Nude Glow, depending on the glow intensity you're looking for.
