HOW TO CREATE VOLUME WITH THE NEW ghd RISE
By Amelia Bell, 18 August 2020
The best part, though, is that ghd Rise actually works in sync with your hair, predicting its needs as you style and ensuring the temp stays at 185 degrees – meaning you won’t damage your hair in the long run (and you can bid farewell to split ends, too). So, you can now get creative with your at-home ’dos in a fraction of the time it takes to blow-dry your hair – from crafting full-bodied blowouts that look like hours were spent in a salon to mastering those effortless, beachy waves.
Spritz your roots with a root-lift spray, and part your hair either in a deep side parting (for extra volume) or a middle parting if that’s more your vibe.
Next, take a section in front of the ear and place your ghd Rise at the root (this ensures extra volume, too). Wrap the hair around twice, away from the face, and hold for around 5 seconds; then repeat around the head until all the hair has been curled this way.
For added volume, when you get to the crown of the head (the top part where your parting is), place the ghd Rise in your hair and wrap away from your face.
Finally, use a Narrow Dressing Brush at the roots to add some lift (kinda like backcombing, but much better for your hair) and, finally, fix your final look with ghd’s Final Fix Hairspray,so it stays in place all day, and all night.
