NEW DROP: ASOS MADE IN KENYA
By Ebony-Renee Baker, 3 May 2020
This year marks a decade since we started working on the brand with SOKO Kenya, the ethical clothing manufacturer that empowers local artisans to use their talents and create better lives for themselves and their families. Supporting the community is a top priority for SOKO – it's recently started producing 20,000 cloth face masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
ASOS MADE IN KENYA kimono in circle print, £45
Our fave pieces in the collection? Well, we ️love a modern-day cloak, and this one 👆 can be easily styled with whatever you fancy underneath… pair with jeans and a nice top, wear it as a poolside cover-up or go cajh with shorts and a tee. Then there’s these boxy skorts, a statement piece that's blurring the line between skirt and shorts – and we’re 100% into it.
ASOS MADE IN KENYA embroidery t-shirt, £18
If you’re more of a minimalist but still want some of that Kenyan vibe in your life, try this take on a white tee – the embroidery adds just the right amount of something-something and will take any ’fit to the next level, stat. And finally, this fab dress is practically yelling: ‘IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS!’ – side slit, bold prints and body-hugging fit… consider your next virtual-party look sorted.
