Tell us about the Shampure range
Shampure Nurturing Shampoo and Conditioner provide weightless nourishment. The shampoo is 95% naturally derived, the conditioner 98%. The products infuse hair with a calming aroma made from 25 pure flower and plant essences, including certified organic lavender, ylang ylang, orange and petitgrain.
What hair type is Shampure best for?
The shampoo and conditioner are ideal for those with fine-to-medium hair who want light daily cleansing and conditioning.
What are the key ingredients?
The system is formulated with Abyssinian oil, which provides long-lasting nourishment. It has a unique structure of omega-9 fatty acids, which means it spreads evenly, while adding lustrous shine to all hair types without greasiness.
How does Aveda strive to be sustainable?
We believe there is no responsible alternative to doing business other than through the pursuit of environmental sustainability and this belief guides every decision we make. We find inspiration in nature and believe that it's not just something to be cherished and protected, but also should be emulated as a model of sustainability. On top of that, we're proud to have been the first beauty company that uses 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. Plus, more than 85% of our skin care and hair styling PET bottles and jars contain 100% post-consumer recycled materials.

Lotte’s verdict

Did you feel a difference after the first wash?
I noticed a slight difference, but it wasn’t until I’d used it for a week that I noticed my hair had completely changed in texture! I recently got more highlights, which means my mane is usually more tangly when wet, but now I can easily get my brush though it. Plus, some of my natural waves have come back which I am very happy about.
Describe the scent
It smells so fresh and like it’s full of goodness – kinda like your favourite candle or essential oils.
What’s the texture like?
It feels lightweight and I like the fact is doesn’t over-lather when you're washing your hair.
What surprised you about it?
Just how hydrating it feels without making my hair feel greasy! Usually, whenever I use a shampoo that’s more moisturising, my hair is greasy a few hours after washing it. But I’ve been using this every other day and it still feels fresh!
What do you love most about it?
The fact you actually see results and it makes bleached hair feel more natural.
