By Belle Rice, 10 August 2019
For some serious retail therapy, make Beverly Hills your first stop. It's also got some must-see spots made famous by the movies, so since it's the 25th anniversary of Clueless next year, why not take in the iconic locations from everyone’s fave chick flick? From the designer stores of Rodeo Drive, where Cher indulges in some stress-shopping after some way harsh words from Tai, to the Electric Fountain in Beverly Hills Triangle (where our heroine realises she does, in fact, love Josh), you can relive the movie while enjoying all the area's hot spots.
Skater fans can ride their boards down from Santa Monica Pier to Venice Beach, where you can flip trick your way around the massive skatepark (worth a watch to see some seriously impressive skills even if you’re not a pro yourself). Rather be in the water than next to it? Up your surf game with some lessons at AquaSurf, available at various locations along the southern California coastline.
Fitness fanatics can get their kicks with a hike up to Griffith Observatory for unbeatable views of the entire city (Hollywood sign included). And when you’re up for a refresh after all the LA-style exercise, head to Nate 'n Al’s for an all-star American meal, or up the ante with drinks at The BLVD at the Beverly Wilshire – the the signature ‘Feeling Pretty’ cocktail pays homage to the hotel’s Pretty Woman setting.
