Fashionable? Check. Comfortable? Check. Adaptable to weather moodiness? Check. The sun might not be shining its brightest but your weekend look is, cos new street-style hacks are coming your way. The best part is, you won’t even have to take your home uniform (aka joggers) off! Three key pieces and a bunch of accessories is all you need to glam up your midsummer day’s dream outfit.

The look
Let the glam operation begin. You want easy-going and cool, but comfy and functional? Ask French queen Alice Barbier. Utility is still big this season, so no wonder she revolved her look around a pair of khaki cargo-style joggers. Take a leaf out of her book by keeping the same colour scheme for top and bottom – natural colours will enhance your tan. She then completed it with those most-loved summer essentials – aviator sunglasses and barely there sandals for a fresh touch. Endgame.

How to do it
First things first, let’s start with a pair of laid-back trackies. The baggier, the better – opt for a loose, high-waisted fit and top it off with a white crop. Mixing smart and casual hasn’t gone anywhere so if you were thinking of leaving your loyal blazer in the closet, bring it along instead. Tone down the combo’s strong utility vibes with a pinstripe pattern (puffed shoulders are a bonus) and finish off with a cute pair of strappy sandals. In terms of accessories, beat the weather forecasts with a bling-bling chain necklace. But a bag is not needed when you have big pockets to do the job for you.
