Tell us about your SS19 collection
'I wanted to revisit the pieces from my older collections that got me to this point, simply because they were the designs that people always asked for. I think it's a great thing to do for people who have followed the brand, and new people too. There’s also some new designs in there which I’m really excited about.'

What was your inspiration?
'I wanted to nod to the original point of my brand which is strength, independence, and the assassin and comic-book heroes I’m always inspired by. It’s a culmination of the DNA of my brand.'

What’s your favourite piece in the collection?
'There's a few – I love the ninja crop tops because they’re one of the pieces that got my brand noticed. And there’s a pair of trousers that have a skirt attached which is a new design that I really love. They make perfect sense to where I’m at now as a designer.'

What’s next for your brand?
'I’m really excited that my collection is coming out on ASOS. Moving forward from that, I have another show to work on, so I’m excited to start developing the next collection, and hopefully working more with ASOS on some new stuff in the future.'

What advice do you have for young designers?

'My advice is patience, and it’s something I’ve learned recently. I think we live in a society where it’s all about instant gratification, and building something that lasts takes time, so I think you need to know what it is you’re trying to bring. A lot of designers are trying to offer the same thing. It’s the one that has something fresh that will ultimately stand out.'
