5 HAIR ACCESSORIES TO TRY FOR SPRING
By Ludovica Parisi, 15 March 2019
It's official: hair accessories are no longer just for distracting from bad hair days. From slogan slides to velvet scrunchies, headgear is now on heavy rotation in our everyday line-up – and both catwalks and sidewalks are in agreement. Here’s a round-up of some faves we've spotted on the street style scene recently.

Hot mess
Scrunchies are back and we’re not mad about it. Who knew those big, funny hair ties from your bedtime pamper routine could turn into the most fashionable SS19 accessory. Stop hiding them in your bedroom drawers and start showing them off at the office to zhuzh up your messy bun. Balance the vibe with minimal earrings and a sparkly ear cuff, and you’ve got a look that's straight off the runway.

Uptown glam
Velvet headbands are making a comeback – any resemblance to Blair Waldorf is purely (not) accidental. Whether embellished with pearls or crystals, give the iconic trend a vintage twist by styling it with rectangular shades and gold pleated hoops. Finish off the look with a patterned shirt and oversized pastel blazer. Voilà!

The more the merrier
When things aren't going to plan in the hair department and you don't want to be late to the office, let your pins do the hard work for you. Step 1: Make a parting and apply gel to the roots. Step 2: Garnish one side of your hair with clips of different sizes and shapes, one right below the other. Bravo – you've just saved a good five minutes of sleep and got a whole new look for work.

From Audrey Hepburn to Zendaya, it’s a fact that buns are timeless. Upgrade your game with flowery hair clips to match the upcoming floral-lovin' season. They say every rose has its thorn but, honestly, we don’t see any in this craze. Their size will add volume, making your bun look thick and voluminous.

One in a million
Wedding season is approaching, and if you still need to RSVP (mainly because you don’t know what to wear) take some style inspo from this fashion-week look. Adorn your parting with shiny pearls, trickling them down to the nape of your neck. Then gather your remaining hair and secure it in a ponytail. And there you have it: you've just finessed your everyday hair style to something that Vidal Sassoon would have dreamed about.
