STYLING

HOW ASOSERS DO GRAPHIC PRINTS

In a wintery sea of muted greys and earthy browns, an artsy print is a strong way to stand out from the crowd and inject a little personality into your look. And this season has plenty to offer in the way of motifs, from subtle logos to full-on statement graphics. By way of illustration, we grabbed five of our ASOSers to show us how they’re wearing their prints now.

Oh-so-extra neon is a huge trend ATM, and adding a little bit of print to an already powerful palette never hurts. Junior Social Copywriter Titi wears a highlighter sweater with a curious motif  both in name and in nature. With a statement top like this, it's best to keep the rest of the 'fit muted, so Titi pairs hers with tailored grey trousers and white trainers like a fash pro.

At first glance, this tee looks like a barbed wire motif, but, on closer inspection, you’ll see the word ‘Paris’ entwined in the design. Mind. Blown. The oversized fit of this tee gives it a borrowed-from-the-boys vibe, and Junior Creative Kate wears it with sweat pants and Nike Air Max trainers to create a slick streetwear look. To finish, a neon scrunchie brings some nice contrast.

If your style is on the understated side, but you're still after a little motif-ation, just add a monogram accessory like Senior Showroom and Events Coordinator Olivia. Asymmetric shapes, like this one, have been big since Dior brought their saddle bag back from the 90s for AW18 and this wonky wonder goes with denim, dresses, suiting... Basically everything.

We predict tie-dye will be big for 2019 thanks to the SS19 catwalks of Prada, Proenza Schouler and loads more – and you can get ahead on the trend now with a tee like Senior Social Creative Jess. The genius addition of the skater graphic calls for laid-back styling via wide-leg trousers, a leather jacket and a beanie hat. To dye for.

For a simple lesson in how a graphic can transform a look, see Junior Designer Texas’ ensemble. This neon T-shirt and its interesting sculpture motif turns basic jeans, a long-sleeve white top and classic Converse into a super fun 'fit. The tee is a talking-point piece that's perfect for a first date with your prints charming (sorry, not sorry), or just a gig with your mates.
