INSPIRATION AND ADVICE
ASOS INSIDERS WEAR ACTIVEWEAR
By Eleanor Dunne, 23 January 2019
Let’s face it, New Year’s fitness resolutions are easy enough at the beginning of Jan – but once mid-month rolls around and the novelty wears off, your motivation can decrease. Or just disappear altogether. That’s why we’re bringing you some on-point 'fits, as worn by ASOS Insiders, that will actually make you want to hit the gym (or the pavements) all the way through 'til summer. We promise.
Getting out of bed and going for a jog outdoors is our favourite thing to do in January. Said no one ever. But we must admit, ASOS Sophia’s look just might get us kinda excited about an early morning run. The long-sleeve top will guard against the cold while the fuschia leggings will brighten up those grey days. Pavements, we’re coming for ya.
Popping to your local basketball court with your mates is the best way to burn some cals while catching up on the goss. And doing it in this 90s-inspired fit is an even better idea. ASOS Lesley stunts in an ellesse sweatshirt and legging shorts, which you can swap out for regular leggings if you can’t stand the chill. Swish.
Bringing a touch of luxe to your repertoire via Calvin Klein is a surefire way to get you working out more. ASOS Olive’s logo sports bra and leggings are perfect for a gym sesh (and some mirror selfies, naturally). In fact, this look is so good you’ll want to wear it to brunch after – just add an oversized puffer jacket.
If you’re serious about your workout in a lift-weights-and-treadmill-sprints kinda way, firstly, more power to ya. Secondly, you'll probably agree that, when it comes to gym clothes, less is more. Enter this slick legging shorts and sports bra combo, as seen on ASOS Scarlett. A 'fit like this one will ensure you sweat it out in style.
You'll have to try to stop us from working out in this look. How good is the so-AW18 tiger print, girly pink colour and matchy-matchy vibe? This one is perfect for your next yoga class as you try to find your inner peace (and serve up serious looks, obvs). Wednesday night Netflix binge? Namaste in the gym.
