5 ACCESSORY TRENDS TO KICK OFF AW18
By Sophie Davis, 7 September 2018
Ah, that Celine alphabet pendant – it's taken over Instagram and made our credit cards twitchy. So shout out to Design B for this tribute. Worn layered with loads of gold chains, or on its own over everything from slogan tees to slouchy knits, it'll add a fresh spin to basically everything in your wardrobe.
If you love J.W. Anderson's Pierce bag (above) then we've got good news – neat, structured bags are the shape to look out for this season. They'll polish up your biker and jeans combo, and don't be put off if sport-logo sweats and dad trainers are more your thing – the high-low clash evens out perfectly.
In your hair, around your neck, on your handbag – silky scarves might just be the most versatile accessory of AW18. Whether geometric, floral or chain-printed, they're definitely back this season. The vibe to channel? A minor royal who's snuck out of the polo to dance on the table at a fashion week party.
Statement earrings are still huge this season – yes, we mean literally – and we are so here for them. Anything goes, as long as they're supersized – from massive gobstopper gems to shoulder-grazing jewels to (our favourites) gold, geometric shapes.
Slide this way
Let Margot Tenenbaum be your style inspiration (always) and get with a pearl hair slide. Hair accessories have been off-radar for a while now but thanks to Simone Rocha and Zadig & Voltaire, the runways were full of embellished barrettes, butterfly clips and zig-zag hairbands. Slip one on to go with your heritage check blazer and you basically are AW18.
