INSPIRATION AND ADVICE

HOW THE ASOS INSIDERS DO ANIMAL PRINT FOR AW18

By Caroline Ferry, 28 August 2018

The season of lovely printed dresses and even lovelier weather to wear them in is alas, drawing to a close. But, thrillingly, the most extra print of summer has got staying power, so expect to see a helluva lot more leopard this AW18. Never ones to miss a sartorial beat, the ASOS Insiders are on board, and giving all the pointers for how to wear your animal prints into autumn.

Cosy up

If you've been living in white jeans this summer, you may be feeling rather disgruntled that autumn is looming. Luckily, clever Insider Scarlett has figured out exactly how we can wear our white strides into AW18. The trick? Add a very cosy, very on-point leopard-print knit with high-tops and voila, September’s vibe sorted.

Print clash

Lotte’s found a way to style her summer garms for just a bit longer, thanks to some smart layering and a whole lot of 90s nodding. If like Lotte you’ve got a wardrobe full of slip dresses that need an outing, layer a slinky leopard tee underneath, then clash with your favourite printed bucket hat for a serving of throwback excellence.

Boy's club

We hardly ever see animal print in menswear, which is sad for them. But when they do rustle up a little leopard, man do they get it right. Case in point: Kicki’s very cool sleeveless utility jacket by Billionaire Boys Club – the leopard print combined with that slogan cropped tee bring all the slickness.

All dressed up

Just cos we've all got that back-to-school feeling right now, doesn't mean the social calendar ceases to be jammed with weddings, hen parties, baby showers… you name it. Take your favourite midi into AW18 like the queen that is Insider Sophia, by adding a couple of autumn-appropes details. Switch sandals for closed-toe points and add some simple gold jewellery. The result? A picture of autumnal excellence.
