HOW ASOSERS DO SUMMER STYLE

There's no denying, staying chic in summer heat can be a tricky sartorial task to master. Fortunately, here at ASOS HQ there's plenty of wardrobe inspiration to get us in the mood for the challenge. From grungy slips to tea party-appropriate dresses and sophisticated co-ords, there's a warm weather solution for everyone, no matter your style.

Blue, boo

Nothing is friendlier in a heatwave than crisp cotton separates, and a pyjama-style suit like this blue-and-white-striped one will prove to be your new best friend. Best worn with a little white top underneath and accessorised with trinket-like necklaces to take the PJ vibe down a notch. Better still, a co-ord can be worn as separates too, which equals double the outfit possibilities.

Pretty cool

A floral tea dress is probably the most versatile option in any wardrobe. Ready to be dressed up or down, it's the perfect throw-on choice for sunny days at work — especially when you'd rather be catching up on a box set than planning a head-to-toe look the night before. Here, Bella pairs her vintage-look 50s-style button-down dress with fresh white Converse to keep it cool and casual.

Sunny delight

Who knew a T-shirt could pack such a punch? This vintage-style orange logo top is a cool choice for when the weather soars above 30. Nail the look by tucking a tee into a pair of cut-off shorts for an easily replicated off-duty style.

Grunge gal

Worn in both the boudoir and the bar, a slip dress has numerous style associations. But team a slinky black one with a pair of Dr Marten-style shoes and suddenly you're channelling some serious 90s Courtney Love vibes. Try and choose a slip with an interesting detail  the lacy racerback adds an extra fashion element to an otherwise simple piece.
