THE FRESH PRINTS OF SS18
By Caroline Ferry, 7 July 2018
Ever open your wardrobe to find a sea of block colours staring back at you? You might want to shake things up a lil bit by adding in some very SS18 prints and patterns. How to wear them this season? More is more is your mantra. If there’s a matching top to the skirt? Get it. Wondering what shoes to wear with your snake-print bag? Another animal print, that’s what. Here are five new printed friends to invite into your closet sharpish.
Plaid plans
Your sweet little kilt gets a thoroughly non-trad update this time round with the shouldn’t-work-but-really-does combination of bright blue, pink and red checks. Wear with your trusty sliders now or chunky ankle boots come autumn.
Board games
Checkerboard prints, once reserved for skater boys' dirty ole Vans, are enjoying a dressed-up renaissance, thanks to this co-ord cutie. With Reebok classics or black heeled sandals, that's your Saturday night outfit, sorted.
Python power
It is no lie that we love faux animal prints, from leopard to zebra and everything in between. And this pretty little snake print is no exception. The pinky tint and SATC-vibes buckle fastening are just the icing on the cake.

Cloud nine
When you think tie-dye, you probably don’t think mum jeans, right? The hippie-favourite print of yore feels fresh for SS18: colour mixes are kept to a minimum, and freaky patterns are a thing of the past – now it’s all cloud prints and candyfloss shades. Delish.

Logos and slogans are nothing new, but worked into a repeat pattern like with this tasty little twinset, they feel like a revelation. And you thought skirt suits were just for First Ladies, eh? Wears yours buttoned-up with All Stars and all the hoop earrings you can possibly find.
