BEAUTY
GET READY WITH ME
By Elizabeth Odey, 26 May 2018
Ever wondered what face and body products ASOSers use? Australia Editor Liz Odey shares her favourite picks...

Tall, brunette, 27, Capricorn, ASOS employee, Kiwi ex-pat, South London resident, nail-bed biter, chronic messy-bun wearer, sweet potato appreciator and addicted weather-app checker... at the risk of sounding like a Bumble profile, what else is there to know about me? Oh, perhaps my beauty routine? Well since you asked, read on to see the eight products that make up my (current) beauty bible.
Prep and protect
I have a healthy obsession with trying and testing primers. My skin just doesn’t feel the same without one, and this SPF formula from NARS is currently taking the top spot in my summer beauty routine.
NARS Radiance Primer SPF 35, £28
Nuts for coconut
Skin, hair, body, teeth, food. Far from a fad, coconut oil is one of my top beauty hacks. My latest obsession is adding half a teaspoon into my morning coffee. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.
Sister & Co Coconut Oil, £6.99
Teddy talks
I like to call this the ‘my lips but better’ colour. No matter the time of year or the tone of my skin, Velvet Teddy always delivers an on-point pout. Drawing outside the lines recommended.
MAC Lip Duo - Velvet Teddy, £30
Just the tonic
There’s a fine line between ‘dewy’ and oily. Unfortunately (and especially during summer) my skin prefers the latter. I find a toner really tightens and tones my pores for a grease-free finish.
Golden girl
I have an olive complexion so I find rose-gold shades are usually a safe bet when shopping for all things shiny (hint, jewellery). This little beauty has become my summer makeup staple.
NIP+FAB Liquid Gold Highlighter - Rose Gold, £12.99
Oil drill
So, I’ve only recently discovered oil cleansers… and this is my life now. Hand on heart, no matter how much you may think you’ve removed your makeup, give this bad boy a swipe and I promise you’ll be in for a shock.
Sister & Co Apricot Rose Oil Cleanser, £30
City skin
Living in London means I’m spending over an hour a day riding the London Underground, which means exposing my skin to a constant stream of pollution, smog and stress. This little serum aims to support and defend my skin in my sleep. Dreamy.
Getting hairy
I have a secret. I use a hair mask almost every time I wash my hair. Nothing hectic, but I will use it in place of a regular conditioner. Depending on the product some results are radiant, some not so much. Believe the hype – Coco & Eve are writing the book on radiant.
Coco & Eve Coconut & Fig Hair Masque, £34.99
