INSPIRATION AND ADVICE

YOUR BANK-HOLIDAY STYLE SORTED

It can be tricky to know what to wear on a spring bank holiday. It’s a long weekend, the weather can be temperamental and plans can change at the drop of a hat. But whether it’s brunch, seeing family or a casual attempt at an outdoor activity (usually involving the first burnt sausage of the year), we’re 100% backing a light and bright suit, just like this clued-up street-styler. And when we say suit, we're not talking a stuffy office-bound two-piece...

It’s all about picking light materials, such as linen or cotton, which allow you to layer (or shed the blazer) according to the temperature. The subtle white pinstripe and oversized fit lends a relaxed Scandi vibe to the look. But to stop the white wide-leg trousers and mensy fit blazer from looking too Saturday Night Fever, the addition of the cropped pleated top in mint green adds instant summery daytime vibes.

Top tip? It’s as much about the accessories as it is the main event. Gold plated earrings add a dressier element, and the lilac ring-clutch (with co-ordinated gold hardware, no less) matches the pastel tones in the green top. Finally, fresh white sneaks give the getup casual appeal (and all-day stamina), and can be swapped for mules once the sun goes down
