It’s light, bright and oh-so-pristine (hopefully for longer than five mins...). Yep, nothing says warmer weather like a fresh white update on your all-year-round denim pieces. From 90s chill to super-fresh Scandi, the best thing about the shade is that mixing up your silhouettes instantly changes the vibe. OK, icy white might feel a little risqué, but paired with other muted hues? It's a summer colour-block dream. Here’s how the ASOS team are wearing white denim their way…
HOW ASOSERS DO WHITE DENIM

The easiest and most straightforward way to dip into the trend? A denim jacket, the throw-on chameleon that blends in with most looks. The rule of thumb = anything on the monochrome scale generally goes with and over everything. Morgan uses hers to go matchy-matchy with the pretty colour palette of her outfit, but the raw-edge cuffed sleeves give it an edgy twist. A sheer baby-pink polka-dot dress gets paired with white 80s-style trainers and some pink-tinted Perspex shades.

There’s something unmistakably cool about white denim on more oversized silhouettes, adding a casual element to your day looks. Trade up your 90s mom jeans for these high-waisted beauties in contrast stitching – the tie paper-bag waist adds a subtle expensive feel. To go gung-ho on the summer vibes, pair with a red square-neck vest (bonus points for textured ruching) and finish with chunky white Nikes.

In case you haven’t noticed, the 80s trend has been doing the rounds of late and the introduction of white denim to your wardrobe slots in pretty nicely. Coco takes the retro feel up a notch with these monochrome graffiti-print mom jeans, but it’s the consistent colour scheme that really brings the wow factor. A neon yellow tee gets tucked into the high-waist, which matches perfectly with the white sneaks (with neon yellow laces, no less). Finally, a knee-skimming black belt ties the look together.

Nothing says summer like a cute dungaree dress and, for SS18, the colour update is as cold and fresh as ice. In crisp, raw-edge denim with oversized Scandi double pockets, Nierodha keeps all eyes on the centrepiece by ensuring everything else is muted. A black bandeau contrasts with the white and black technical trainers add a street-style cool element. White and black sports-tipped fishnet ankle socks finish with a little sporty texture.
