HOW ASOSERS DO SEQUINS
By Sophie Davis, 8 December 2017
Sequins are right up there with Mariah and chocolate for breakfast on our list of party-season highlights. Yep, whether you go for all-out shimmer in a sequined dress, dress down with a shiny sweater and skirt or just play it cool with accessories, it's the season to embrace the sparkle. Here are the sequin looks we’ve taken a shine to at ASOS HQ…
Drum roll… meet the party dress that takes things next level. Sequins? Yes please. Florals? Yup. Layers? Uh huh. The ruffles add some serious swish while the black hat and chunky lace-up boots balance out the drama. Other dresses better recognise.

Well hello there, fresh alternative to the LBD. Layered over a casual grey tee, this shimmering green slip gives a neat nod to the 90s, while transforming you into a gorgeous sparkly party mermaid. Glitter tights and on-the-money faux-fur platforms complete the ultimate texture clash.

If your vibe is more minimalist Scandi cool than glittery Christmas super-fan, you can still get in on the sequin trend. Big props to Converse for serving up these silver Chuck Taylors – possibly the shiniest trainers ever to hit the dancefloor. Guaranteed to add sparkle to your running man.

How about these sequin pants for a cheeky twist on mannish tailoring? Paired with an 80s-style slogan tee and classic checked blazer, they're the perfect party getup if you're not feeling dresses this year. Slick leather loafers finish off the outfit perfectly.

Sportswear goes intergalactic courtesy of a silver hoodie. This super-shiny hero piece adds edge to a cute checked miniskirt and metallics are a great way to dress up a monochrome colour palette. Shine on.
