3 WAYS TO WEAR THE FLORAL CORSET
By Maybelle Morgan, 18 October 2017
There are many things we thought we’d left in the 00s. Ra-ra skirts, velour trackies, Justin Timberlake’s frosted tips. Oh, and corsets, right? Wrong. Corsets are back for AW17, but this time they’ve had an ultra-pretty floral glow up, featuring a sassy plunge neckline and contrast side-tie lacing. Here are three ways to work it into your wardrobe…

Date night
It’s safe to say that too many date nights have been subjected to the tired LBD treatment. If you’re due a shake-up, the very feminine floral corset is the way to go, but keep it balanced to avoid going too Marie Antoinette. Play with proportions and match the more revealing top half with navy floor-sweeping wide-leg trousers. Next, jazz up your outfit with bold accessories: 80s-style leopard-print heels, a midnight-crush velvet mini tote and ruby drop costume earrings.

Big weekender
It’s OK to feel conflicted sometimes. The weekend rolls around and you just want to be comfy, but it’s also your downtime so you want to look the biz, too. Enter the floral corset to jazz up your cosy looks. Throw the rulebook out and layer it over a chunky roll neck for maximum snugness and pair with slouchy skater jeans. For the ultimate stylish off-duty outfit, finish with fluffy sliders. Winning.
