By Maybelle Morgan, 12 September 2017

Inspired by early-days-of-rap documentary Hip-Hop Evolution, Marc Jacobs models took to the AW17 catwalks in bold, primary-coloured tracksuits, complete with flowing sport-tipped trousers and bling-heavy hardware zips. Retro bucket hats gave a nod to the genre's music video scene, while chunky leather platforms elevated the glam factor.

What’s cooler than being cool? ASOS Insider Barbara in this texture-rich athleisure look, of course. The key is balancing softer staples with edgier pieces. The casj element of the Ellesse zip-up sweat (bonus points for the satin edging and dusty-rose shade) softens the 80s-tastic vinyl trousers, whereas the white and baby-pink sneaks balance out the grungey eyelet beret. Bravo.
