Polka dots were not a casual affair on the AW17 catwalk for Andrew GN. Bold poppy spots upped the drama as smaller print sleeves were contrasted with a floor-sweeping arresting skirting. Key-hole detailing brought the glam factor while XXL tassel earrings and a pearl-strap cross-body sealed the deal.

Proof that polka dots are the perfect way to add cutesy retro points to your weekend wardrobe? This simple look from retail fashion director Lisa Aiken. The silhouette of a wrap midi dress plus the print makes for an easy feminine go-to and white woven mules takes the kitsch feel up a few notches. Finish with an ice-blue bucket bag and gold jewellery.

It doesn't get more flattering than this slinky jersey maxi dress – fact. The all-over monochrome print adds a dressier feel, so just add knot mules for your dinner thing or white chunky sneaks and a denim jacket for a more casj vibe.
