THE WHITE SHIRT 2.0
By Maybelle Morgan, 25 August 2017
Trends come and go, but the white shirt is your style staple that will stay loyal long after the leopard-print tabard has had its day. This season, the classic form has gotten a new lease of life, bringing the heat to your wardrobe in four souped-up versions. See how to wear them here…

Bare essentials
Off-the-shoulder fun has been on the agenda for a few seasons now and there’s nothing like some peekaboo detailing to bring the cheeky to a tailored classic. Play with silhouettes and match the cropped shirt with sweeping high-waisted denim flares. Elevate with chunky platforms and show off bare shoulders with some gold bling.

Dressage
The shirt dress has also had a super-dramatic evolution and, yep, we dig it. Renaissance-style ruffled detailing, a midi length and a drop-waist hem get the thumbs up. Dark circle shades and slogan sliders give the dress a low-key, cool monochrome look.

Arm candy
The charm's all in the arm, don’t ya know? In this case, oversized silhouettes make for the perfect mini dress and 2017’s obsession with the 80s gets a nod in the form of some extra-puffed balloon sleeves. Complement the extra shape with chunky platform trainers, plus a quilted metallic mini-bag.

Longitude
That whole dresses-over-trousers trend gets a shout-out here, but opt for a longline waterfall hem shirt over a pair of raw-edge jeans for a cooler Scandi substitute. Choose super-technical, white sandals and XXL graphic earrings for the dreamiest end-of-summer outfit.
