INSPIRATION AND ADVICE
THREE UNEXPECTED WAYS TO STYLE YOUR BUMBAG
By Anna Heaton, 14 August 2017
When you envisage a bumbag, we're willing to bet on one of three images creeping into your mind: you and your mates nailing that festival life, Zack and the rest of the Saved by the Bell gang, or your rents in Disneyland circa 1997. Either way, blogger and street-style maven Lisa Hahnbüeck has made it her mission (well, kinda) to prove that bumbags are not just here to be typecast. So, here are three ways to wear them that we guarantee you haven't tried before.

Fancy pack
The queen of Scandi sleekness isn't going to let the casual vibes of a bumbag stop her from doing her thing. It's worth mentioning that a khaki floor-length shift dress might not look as at home with your standard festival go-to bag, however, the pared-back design of this red one tied in with the colour of Lisa's boots to create a totally chic and wearable look. Bravo babe.

Sporty spice
Here, Lisa takes inspiration from the fanny pack's sporty heritage but does it her own way. It looks at home on the matching red stretch midi skirt (top marks for colour coordination) and nicely complements the cropped navy polo. She then wears with adidas adilette sliders in green velvet and this season's best-loved accessory: yellow aviator sunnies.

Prairie prin
Finally, LH goes for the ultimate style clash: the bumbag with a girlie look. This brunch-perfect prairie dress and denim jacket would be cute but quite vanilla without the splash of postbox red. Add in the pointed 80s-inspired boots and it becomes an interesting getup that's still sweet as candy.
