Pink isn’t only a colour, it’s a frame of mind. And the models at Trussardi went full-blown Legally Blonde for its SS17 show. Oversized, hot-pink blazers (with a hint of shimmer) were worn open over ribbed dresses, while OTT metallic accessories sealed the deal.

ASOS Insider Debbie swapped magenta for a cooler, bubblegum pink and wore her blazer buttoned up on its own to create your-nan-but-on-a-night-out vibes. Pink was the theme but, to avoid looking gaudy, switch up the shades: dusky-pink tailored trousers and worn-in Converse high-tops.

And for your own taste of the 80s, enlist the help of Oasis with this double-breasted blazer in bright pink. The shaped (but not padded) shoulders give a subtle nod to the era without overpowering the look. Then, if you’re feeling brave, wear with the matching trousers and add some black mules for a cocktail-hour statement.
