3 WAYS TO WEAR
The one skirt for every festival this summer
By Maybelle Morgan, 10 July 2017
Every summer, festival season descends upon us like a magical endurance test of camping, sun exposure and creative Mary Poppins-like packing. Well, consider your outfit recycling woes over with the one skirt to rule them all. Hot pink, ruffled and featuring the prettiest brocade print. Whether your stage-chasing is beachside, in the city or field-traipsing, here’s how to nail festi-cool (and without a floral garland in sight)…

Life’s a beach
So you’re getting a side of sun, sea and sand with your live music. Lucky you. Beachside, it’s all about v cool minimal jersey staples: think a nude vest and a baseball cap (to peer at the bands at, obvs), but then add the skirt for a dash of bold dance-friendly colour. Finish with chill striped sliders, plus a handy sand-sifting netted bag.

Festival fever
You’ve signed up for some good ol’ British festival action, so a consideration for the elements (rain, wind, shine) is necessary. Take notes from our Glastonbury role model Alexa Chung and pair the skirt with a simple white slogan tee to balance it out. Add some sturdy mud-appropes Dr. Martens and throw over a boxy vinyl jacket to seal the cool street-style factor.

Secret garden pretty
Doing the urban jungle thing for your festival abroad this year? The brighter the better is our motto. Clash up colours and textures by layering the brocade ruffle skirt with a lemon-yellow cami in all-over sun-catching sequins. Keep the rest of your outfit simple, so finish with Daz-white sneaks and you’re good to party.
