Boss your braids like Zoë Kravitz
By Lakeisha Goedluck, 5 February 2017
With a cult 80s actress for a mum (no.1 hun, Lisa Bonet) and a rock star for a dad (Lenny Kravitz), it’s no surprise that Zoë Kravitz is one of the coolest 20-somethings around. In particular, it’s her chameleon-like hair switch-ups that have got us green. Here are five ways she styles her braids to awesome effect.

Hang Loose
The saying goes that blondes have more fun but really, it’s all about letting your hair down. Give yourself a middle parting and allow your braids to fall freely around your shoulders. And if you’re feeling really wild, add a standout red lip. So easy.
Baby-hair boss
Baby-hair envy is a way of life. And Zoë’s have got us crushing hard. To copy, middle part braided hair and fasten behind the back of the head. Grab some gel and a club brush (or a toothbrush for a neater finish) and sculpt the baby hairs into waves. Cute af.
Low and behold
This hairstyle technique is v easy to wrap your head around. Use an elastic band to fasten hair into a low ponytail. Grab a few braids from the pony and wrap around the band. Secure at the base with some bobby pins, et voilà!
Bun Fun
If you’re at the top of your hair game and want a style to prove it, then here’s the look for you. Collect your braids on top of your crown, knot into a high bun, and don’t forget to lay those baby hairs! Bun-derful.
A Cut Above
For a chic way to show off an undercut, scoop hair at the front and tie into a low pony at the back, leaving the remaining braids to hang down. Soften the look by opting for a rose-coloured blush and subtle lippie to match. Divine.
