WHAT TO WEAR TO
All your work Christmas Party outfits
By Maybelle Morgan, 1 December 2016
Have you been nice this year? Well then, you deserve good things. The festive season has come around again, so it's time for you to be repaid for your Mon-Fri slog in food and festive cheer (aka all the prosecco). But it’s also the perf opportunity to show off your BNO style cred. Whatever the vibe of your Christmas work do, grab inspo from these v chic girls…
The company’s forking out, which means it’s time to go all out with your look. Two words: Alexa Chung. Take notes from the dream queen and jazz up your formal style with something bold – like this tiger-print maxi slip. Add a velvet tux jacket to smarten up the vibe and finish with platform peep-toes.
Drinks at your boss' house
You’ve put in the hours and now your boss is putting out the canapés and sparkly drink (well deserved). Trust us when we say Hilary Rhodes is your chic-meets-casj poster-girl – because the mom jeans and silk shirt combo never falters. Dress it up with pointed booties and a chain cross-body, and finish with a slick of Chrimbo-appropes red lippie. Living room cheers!
Just cos the invite’s a tad more chill, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bring out your glad rags. And Jenna Coleman’s festive style lot is perfect. Ditch the sequins for some subtle shimmer in a preppy, lurex tea-dress and pair with chestnut velvet sock boots to seal the seasonal deal. Super-dreamy.
A fancy restaurant is on the agenda for your Christmas party, so it’s your chance to dress up and eat your body weight in mince pies. Channel Chanel Iman and choose a sexy-meets-demure, sheer midi dress (the dress of the season, fyi) – the stretchy material also acts as an added bonus (more dessert, anyone?). All you need now are heeled suede sock boots and you’re good to go.
Forget suits and dresses with 'appropriate' hems – tonight is all about hitting the dancefloor hard and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s outfit is the one. Finesse AW16 with a fab 80s power-shoulder top in leopard print, plus sequins. Finish with your fave pair of black skinnies and some look-at-me ear bling. Divine.
