WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR WORK CHRISTMAS PARTY
By Ayis Stephen-Diver, 1 November 2024
Been nice this year? Then you deserve *all* the good things including a festive party. It's the best reward for completing the Mon-Fri grind all year and it’s also the perfect opportunity to show off your style credentials with the Christmas-party outfit of dreams. Whatever the vibe of your work-do, grab a party outfit, Christmas dress or a festive jumper and get ready to turn that OOO message on.

PARTY IN THE OFFICE
The company’s ordered in some delicious food, the festive tunes are LOUD, and the drinks are flowing. It’s office Christmas party time, of course, meaning it's your chance to serve corporate baddie. Take notes from your everyday office 'fit but amp it up with a tailored suit and embellished accessories like a shoulder bag or heels. Even the tinsel will be jealous.

SOMETHING *GLAM*
Maybe your boss is planning a black-tie fancy festive extravaganza? If so, this is your chance to dress up extra nice and eat your body weight in mince pies. Channel your inner supermodel with a show-stopping Christmas party dress, topped off with mandatory sequins (party season, duh) and some silver extras.

A ROUND AT THE LOCAL
Just because the invite’s a bit more chill, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be the main character. This time, ditch the sparkles for A/W aesthetics – muted tones 'n' all. A basic tee and straight jeans will be cosy and cool enough for a night of drinks, and to seal the seasonal deal, throw on a statement leather-look jacket (the more lived-in, the better).

CASUAL LUNCH WITH THE TEAM
Effortlessly put-together is the move for the annual Christmas lunch, so a roomy maxi skirt and graphic tee combo will never let you down (and allow you to feel comfortable whilst you're enjoying turkey with all the trimmings). For obvious reasons, incorporating red is essential but we'll stretch to burgundy because it is the shade of the season. Accessorise with a co-ordinating burgundy cap for instant cool-girl points and you're good to go.
