BRAND BUZZ
5 of the best comeback retro sports brands
By Anna Heaton, 17 November 2016
2K16 hasn't been a happy time for the history books, but it is the year that some of your fave retro sportswear brands made significant comebacks, and that's something worth getting hyped about. Pop your windbreaking collar, don your best trackies and get ready to channel all of your 90s idols (in a good way, obvs).

Reebok
Rising to fame first in the 80s, Reebok was on the shoulders (and feet) of some of your best-loved celebs. The Classics came back with a bang last year and now the clothing is looking on point, too (Gigi Hadid is the latest face of the brand). Check this track top off your new-season list to wear with mom jeans, giving all the right kind of retro vibes.

FILA
Starting in Italy, this perfectly preppy brand – loved by Tupac – is now based in Korea (yep, the country of cult beauty trends is officially extending to your wardrobe, too). Borrow from the boys with this jumper (it goes with jeans, leather skirts, under party dresses, you name it), which is seriously cool and cosy af.

Champion
Dressing multiple sports teams during the 90s, Champion has earned its style cred. It burst back on the scene this year with throwback threads too good to say no to. Go head-to-toe with this tracksuit – think the grown-up answer to your high-school Juicy two-piece.

Kappa
It's OK to admit that you definitely (100% guaranteed) owned a Kappa tracksuit in your former years – and now they're cooler than ever. You don't have to go top-to-toe like last time (although, always encouraged), just a little nod to nostalgia is all you need. And this track top is the one.

Ellesse
Peaking first in the 70s and again in the 90s, Ellesse is back on your agenda a third time and rightly so. It's had a makeover involving lots of splashed-out logos and oversized gear (into it), and this long-sleeved tee is just the thing to nail your AW16 grunge look.
