Kim Kanert

Communication design student Kim Kanert has been taking pictures and developing them in her basement over the past decade. After registering as a bone marrow donor, Kim was found to be genetic match for an American leukaemia patient, and, inspired by her feelings following the involvement, she is seeking to portray other donors through a mixed-media project, giving a voice to countless others who’ve shared her experience. Shooting short videos and painted-over portraits, Kim will then auction her work for charity with proceedings going to the bone marrow donor programme.
