A WEEK IN WORKWEAR
Five days of fresh-as office style
By Maybelle Morgan, 12 June 2016
The sunshine got you hating on your work wardrobe? Help is here, via 25-year-old Lisa Hahnbück, the German fashion manager and blogger who's all about classic silhouettes mixed with prettified pieces. Ready, set, pin!
Start as you mean to go on with some major sass, via a pair of black, split-hem trousers (leather for more casj environments, tailored for corporate). Style with a tie-waist longline top and pointed strappy heels for that ‘I got this week down’ vibe.
Battle those early-week blues with a bit of head-to-toe comfy chic. Add a dose of colour with a burgundy jersey top and some co-ordinating statement sandals. Finish off with some denim ankle-grazers and a leather cross-body bag for a relaxed-meets-polished Parisienne win.
Give your hump day a style shake-up in a satin jumpsuit with major attitude. Zip up over a T-shirt for max layering points and add a leather tie-belt and pointed shoes to give the look that power-dressing pow.
Stripes on stripes for nearly weekend vibes (hey, anything after Weds, right?) – take notes from Lisa and make yours an all blue palette. She hit the SS16 nail on the head with this PJ-style striped shirt with indigo ankle-grazers. Add adidas sliders and smarten up the look with a slick, navy leather tote.
Nothing says you’ve got that Friday feeling like showing some (subtle) leggy love. Opt for a striped tie-waist shirt dress (perf if you're heading straight from the office to your weekend away) and swap your work-appropes leather brogues for embellished sliders post-clock-off. Add a chain bag, your travel holdall and sunnies for that strolled straight into the sunshine vibe.
