Double PE

If comfort and cool are your top priorities, you can’t go wrong with this fun 80s getup. Pair a batwing denim shirt dress with chunky technical trainers for all-day-lectures stamina and add bright clashing pops of colours (an orange puffer jacket and red socks) for that fun retro wow. To finish? A camo-print shoulder bag in order to break up the colour block and add texture to the look.

Cool for school

If you want to go glam on your first day, the key is balancing out dressier elements with eclectic staples. A striped hoodie and raw-edge, straight-leg jeans make the perfect casj base. Then, layer on a check blazer to smarten the 'fit up and cherry sock-boots (low kitten heel, if any) plus gold jewellery for a subtle statement. Put that final cool-girl stamp on the look with a retro monochrome slogan satchel.

Prep rally

If your style bio veers between Blair Waldorf and Cher Horowitz, this is the vibe for you. Clashing checks bring the preppy factor: think a cropped tartan sweat plus a cutesy A-line mini. Then create balance with some varsity hints: sporty cuff socks and white sneaks. A beret and structured backpack seal that first-day-at-class deal.
