Hands up – who's excited for the new season? 🙋‍♀️ Why? 'Cause it means a whole bunch of new trends to get into! And since this is the first one in a while when we've got a calendar full of *actual* plans, we're saying go BIG or go home. Check out our Fall/Winter 2021 campaign vid above for peak fall inspo, and scroll for a breakdown of four of our fave trends RN, feat. some sweet styling tips from ASOS's Senior Fashion Editor Magda Bryk. It's about to get bold, bb! 👀
luxe loungewear trend

Luxe loungewear

Lockdowns might be a thing of the past, but that doesn't mean that your sweatpants have to be. Rather than buying a whole new wardrobe, we're all for finding new ways to flex the things you already have. Exhibit A👆

'Take your trusty bright popper pants and add some high-fashion feels with a textured coat for a high-low mash-up,' says Magda. 'We're OB-SESSED with this PU-meets-shearling coat, and the platform boots give the whole look an edge.' Bonus marks if you match your hair to your popper pants 😉

colour clash

Color overload

We kept things muted for a year and however many months of lockdowns, so now's the time to get colorful. This pink-and-orange mix is just what you need to cheer up the shorter days and longer nights. And that sporty puffer jacket is giving fash-meets-function (we see you, extended cuffs with thumbholes 👀) – plus, the pink dress will work for day or eve. As for the shoes? 'Knee-high boots are key this season, and in white they give a nice nod to the 60s,' says Magda. 'Plus, the chunky sole makes them more "now" and they're perfect for the wetter months.'
metallic leggings

Metallic mood

Every season there's that ✨special✨ piece that won't let you down. Well, this time around, it's a pair of metallic pants like the beauties above. Although they can be dressed up or down, it's super easy to make these babies daytime-appropriate. Magda's top tip? 'Pair them with casual outerwear and close-to-the-body knits – preferably ones that clash!'
high low styling

High-low styling

Just 'cause we're moving into fall doesn't mean we have to lock the dresses away. 'Layer your slip dress with a tee for colder weather,' says Magda. 'Then add techy outerwear and chunky loafers for a girly-grunge vibe straight from the 90s.' From an accessories POV, this season is all about beads, so add a bag like the one above for that je ne sais what. Another hot tip from Magda: 'Socks are no longer just functional! They've come out on their own as a key fashion piece – they can really add a special touch while bringing the focus to your shoes' 🤩
70s revival

70s revival

Don't call it a comeback! Call it the refresher we've all been waiting for. 70s styling is having another moment and we are 👏 here 👏 for 👏 it. We're talking full-and-flouncy blouses, flares, oh-so-soft pants (in tasty velour 🤤) and an overload of print. 'Stick to a matching color-palette and throw on a pair of the season's fave shoe: the chunky platform boot,' says Magda.
