HOW ASOSERS KEEP ON MOVIN’
February 28, 2021
If there’s one thing to be grateful for this year, it’s the extra time we’ve had to rediscover the simple things that spark joy. Whether that’s been organising every inch of the house or completing Netflix, we’ve all got our thing. For these ASOSers, that thing is a daily dose of endorphins. From yoga to HIIT, we asked the team to share how they get their sweat on, plus their fave activewear looks to do it in 🏋🏻♀️

CHRISTINE (SHE/HER), BUYING ASSISTANT
WHAT SHE’S WEARING 👇
ASOS 4505 yoga short unitard, $32
South Beach yoga mat, $24
‘If I'm feeling a bit low it’s tempting to reach for a glass of wine, order pizza or treat myself to new shoes, but putting 15 minutes aside to practise yoga every day has transformed my mood, health and spirit in more ways than I could imagine. Yoga gives me everything the gym does, but in a peaceful and more holistic way. Plus, there are countless health benefits, like correcting posture, cultivating self-awareness, reducing stress and improving sleep. The list goes on!’

ZOE (SHE/HER), QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
WHAT SHE’S WEARING 👇
Puma Studio crop tank, $35
ASOS 4505 shorts, $17.50
‘Getting into the rhythm of at-home training wasn’t easy at first but, over time, it’s been a lot of fun trying out new things. HIIT is one of the easiest choices for me – it’s quick, versatile and you can really get a sweat on in a short amount of time. Joining a 20-minute HIIT Zoom class during my lunch break really helps split my working day up and it’s kept me sane during these weird times.’

EMILY (SHE/HER), INSIGHT MANAGER
WHAT SHE'S WEARING 👇
HIIT tie front T-shirt, $26
ASOS 4505 leggings, $37
adidas Originals ZX 1K Boost trainers, $100
‘I’ve been doing a workout program that focuses on weights and resistance training six days a week from home. I’ve loved being able to adapt my usual gym workout and try different things at home instead. Plus, it’s been a great way to keep up with a daily routine. I’m definitely not an early riser, but I try to squeeze in a workout at lunchtime or after work. The Insight Team has been doing a February daily step challenge… so I try to get in a lap of my local park if I can, too!'

EVIE KINSELLA & APRIL PALMER (SHE/HER), MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT & SENIOR MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT
WHAT EVIE’S WEARING 👇
Nike Running Renew Ride 2 trainers, $75
Nike H86 Essential Swoosh cap, $22
‘I only started running last year after signing up for a half marathon and it’s since become a part of my daily routine. It has been great to get out and clear my head, especially throughout lockdown when you can feel stuck. I also love it as a way to explore new parts of the city 😊
WHAT APRIL’S WEARING 👇
Reebok Classic Legacy trainers, $80
The North Face Norm cap, $25
‘I’ve always loved running but I really got back into it last year after signing up for a half marathon as I wanted to challenge myself. Unfortunately, it was postponed but I’ve tried to stick with the training anyway as I think it’s important to get outside while WFH (and it really helps me destress). A longer run is a great way to experience a change of scenery and break up the week.’
