Alongside your skirts, tees, sandals and kicks, a pair of sunglasses ranks highly on the list of summer essentials. With no bigger name in the game than Ray-Ban, makers of iconic eyewear since 1937, we thought we’d take a look at how ASOS Scarlett and her BFF Elliot style out the classics.

When you think of the Platonic ideal of sunglasses, it’s hard not to picture the Wayfarer. Called "the most recognizable style of sunglasses in history," the shape has been around since the '50s and again cemented itself as a go-to style for musicians while also making its way into some of the most stylish flicks ever made. The silhouette goes with both beach-ready looks like the ones above and is understated enough to slide easily into your summer wedding look too. The black frame is the classic OG, of course, but the model is also available in tortoiseshell finishes.
