ICYMI, the western trend is having a moment right now, as seen on the catwalks, on the streets and on our social feeds. You may have even spotted your favorite artiste embracing their inner cowboy recently — from Solange to Cardi B. There's plenty of ways to tap into the trend yourself, but a fringed jacket is a good place to start. Here are three ways to try it now...

Fringing, cowboy boots, waistcoats and even cow print were prevalent throughout the season’s collections — Burberry, Coach and Proenza Schouler all showed a take on it. Parisian brand Longchamp also took inspiration from the Wild West for their first runway show ever, which they held in New York to celebrate their 70th anniversary. As this catwalk look demonstrates, a fringed jacket is the perfect partner to a boho dress and leopard-print boots. Howdy, SS19 work-to-weekend look.

Blanca Miró proves the cowboy trend doesn’t have to be all neutral tones — her statement blue jacket is a maximalist take and we’re 100% here for it. And just in case she hadn’t gone far enough down the rodeo route, she goes full bucking-bronco by adding some cow-print boots. Yee-hawt.

This Stradivarius jacket of our dreams is one we'll be lasso-ing into our wardrobe immediately. As you can see, it works beautifully with camo pants and a crop top, or is perfect for toughening up a more feminine look, like a floral frock. If fringed outerwear isn’t your thing, we’ve included some more western-inspired pieces in the gallery below to giddy-up your style this season.
