Lazy picnics in the park. Aperol Spritz on sunny rooftops. Summer has a lot we can get behind. And here’s one more: the savior to muggy summer days everywhere — the easy-breezy floaty dress. How to wear it without losing yourself in a sea of frills and florals? Well, seeing as you asked so nicely, here’s a little inspiration…

It’s all about balance, baby. And Australian blogger Jessica Titheridge has got that nailed, with her don’t-mess Dr Martens, triangle clutch and super-skinny '90s frames bringing all those frills firmly back down to earth. With long sleeves and a calf-skimming hemline, think loose cuts and light fabrics (we’re talking maximum ventilation, people).

For your own take, try swapping the frills out for florals (it is summer, after all) and let some chunky lace-up boots provide the yin to your daisy-print yan. Then, top it off with some layered gold necklaces and micro cat-eye sunglasses and… voila! You’re all ready for that rooftop Spritz. We'll meet you there...
