With festival season fast approaching, it’s time to switch up your makeup game — and right now, the experimental rule of thumb is the bolder, the better. What we’re feeling? That orange is the new black. But we’re not biased — from the tangiest of fruity neons to moody burnt shades to smoky peach, it’s the look on everyone’s lips (literally). Find out how to wear it below…

The models at MSGM proved that for SS18, the future is bright, the future is indeed orange. And lips were the undisputed centerpiece of the look, with all other surrounding elements stripped back. We’re talking clean, fresh skin, brushed-up brows and wet-look hair tousled back off the face. And popping off like no one’s business, with a somewhat futuristic vibe: a precise jolt of color with blood-orange lips. So good.

For something a little earthier and warmer, ASOS Insider Hannah plays with the spectrum of orange in a more day-appropriate burnt grapefruit shade (in chic matte, no less). Hannah turns up all the rosy hues for a more sun-kissed, romantic look — a pop of peach blusher on the cheeks and a smoky bronze dusting on the eyelids. To finish? Hair up, with '80s-glam gold hoop earrings.

For something a little softer and summer appropriate, we’re eyeing this deep rosy-peach shade in a velvety matte texture. Bonus points go to the mess-free, easy-to-apply wand. Follow in the footsteps of ASOS Insider Hannah and wear it with a bronzed eye and posy blusher on the tops of the cheekbones. Dreamy.
