WARM-WEATHER LOOKS FROM THE 'GRAM
By Eleanor Dunne, July 12, 2020
Thanks to the lack of social engagements recently, your summer line-up might be looking a bit thin on the ground ATM. For a while, it seemed pointless to outfit-plan anything that didn't involve sweats and slides – but now, all of a sudden, your calendar's starting to fill up, and it's time to start putting together some sweet hot-weather ensembles. Need some inspo? As always, the 'gram delivers – and below we've picked four looks to give you some fashion food for thought 🍔
If you haven't seen the new Polo Ralph Lauren collection, we suggest you get familiar, because its pastel shades and tie-dye prints could be your one-way ticket to a very stylish summer. Here, Pierre Laurent co-ordinates the line's striped shirt with some sweet matching shorts. The cherry on top? Complementing blue cons and white socks. Ideal for park hangs and outdoor socials.
In case you missed it, pastel two-pieces are big news this season. Even better, they're the EASIEST way to style out practically any summer event 'cause your whole outfit is basically sorted – just add accessories. Make like Max Hovey and go with a flight bag, a chain (AKA the accessory of the summer) and some matching tinted frames. Simples.
Even though there are no festivals happening this year, Anthony Urbano shows how you can bring some of the trippy vibes to your staycation wardrobe. Those tie-dye shorts and sleeveless top are bringing some Coachella feels, while the Vans and socks add a laid-back skater element that we're into, 💯
Who wears short shorts? Well, when it's really, really hot, we do. And we pair them with sleeveless T-shirts and slides, just like Joey Zauzig here. And if you're not brave enough to go that tiny, try a knee-length pair instead, keeping the neutral colour theme ofc 👌
