ASOS UPDATES
WE'RE SPEAKING UP
By ASOS, June 9, 2020
We’ve been taking this time to listen and understand how ASOS can make positive changes from within the company, which reflect our promise to change the behaviors and structures that oppress Black people.
Today, we share with you some of our next steps...
1. We are setting up a Diversity and Inclusion Plan, which will be instrumental in creating the changes we need to see at ASOS.
2. We will commit to creating clear goals for equal opportunities in our workplace and across our content channels to lift up our Black community.
3. We are educating ourselves on topics including systemic racism, unconscious bias and appropriation of Black culture in order to make ASOS a fair and more inclusive place – internally, and for you.
Please believe us on all of this. We will be examining every area of ASOS. From leadership to recruitment. From training to mental health support. From charities we back to partners we collaborate with. From brands we stock to businesses we invest in. From faces we feature to content we create.
Our commitment to this plan, the broader conversation, and to *actual* change will never end. We will constantly listen, learn, push ourselves and, above all else, support our Black colleagues, customers and followers – and keep you informed along the way.
