HOW TO WEAR SS19 SUNSET SHADES

We’re fully into SS19 now and that heatwave is just around the corner, right? Maybe that’s a little optimistic, but while we’re waiting for it, there is another, easier way to channel some sun-drenched escapism into your look. Keep scrolling for our three ways to wear sunset-inspired shades.

The key to this look is the colour scheme: terracotta, classic beige and a splash of tie-dye, resulting in some real high-summer feels. Kick it off with a short sleeve shirt complete with crochet details for a picked-this-up-in-a-Moroccan-market finish. Some lightweight check pants keep the look fresh, and, to finish, there aren’t many more sneaker styles that say summer quite as much as some classic Converse high-tops. Extra points for copping an animal-print pair too.

Yeah, we’re talking vacay shades but that doesn’t mean you won’t need to layer up in the often temperamental spring weather. A lightweight jacket is a super-sensible option (especially for festivals) and we're feeling the all-over paisley print in a natural tan color. A gray waffle-texture knit gives an additional layer and those light-wash jeans have got "well-traveled denim" written all over them. Opt for some adidas kicks with a gum sole to match the paisley design and tie the look together.

This next look’s one for summer nights for sure. The dark orange hoodie with salmon-colored shorts is a strong color scheme, and that intricate mandala design wouldn’t look out of place on the beaches of Bali. Speaking of which, give your accessories the backpacker treatment (without the backpack) by picking up a satchel with embroidered details. With animal print the design of choice for the season, some beach-ready sliders in a leopard print are an easy way to represent the wilder side of SS19’s trends.
