It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the start of spring and long-weekend season. With good times coming up, you might be considering a little trip away, or just heading back home to see family and friends. Take a look at the Fri-Mon ‘fit below for styling out those spring days.

Ah, the denim jacket. An absolute springtime essential. Lightweight enough to keep you cool but a vital layer in transitional temps or — more importantly — rooftop bars. Black and blue options are fine, sure, but that washed, neon-orange choice above channels two of this year’s biggest color stories at the same time. Easy. Now, because you can’t always guarantee sun-drenched mini-breaks at this time of year, opt for a knitted tee underneath — in case the weather's a little on the chilly side.

Representing a few different shades can be tricky, but a solid way of tying a look together is to find some kicks with perfectly matching accents — so cop a pair with a chunky sole for a 2019 update. The humble tote gets a Y2K-inspired refresh in the form of a clear, rubberized option. Drop a couple of spare T-shirts in there for a quick outfit change and you’re good to go. Down below? Nothing says spring more than sun-bleached denim, so grab a pair of jeans as washed out as the jacket — but opt for a darker hue to make the most of that orange pop up top.
