The SS19 womenswear season kicked off in New York last week, and the men in attendance brought out their finest ’fits for the occasion. From funky printed revere-collar shirts to steezy cargo pants, here’s a round-up of the biggest looks that we spotted on the streets of the Big Apple.

If anyone were to write a manual on the upcoming trends for FW18, we’d definitely put our faith in this chap. Beginning his look with an emergency-orange logo sweatshirt, he layers up with an abstract-print vest to encompass the workwear aesthetic. Carrying on the theme down low, he opts for a pair of khaki cargo pants and an ultra-fresh pair of Nike Air Jordan kicks. Equipped with bags galore, this guy has utilitarian dressing with a streetwear spin down to a T.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the streetwear-meets-skate wear aesthetic isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. This fella is definitely on board with the look (in case his set of wheels didn’t give it away), choosing to mix and match staple pieces from both styles. Wearing a graphic-print T-shirt and a Pfizer racing jacket, he counterbalances the vibrancy of his top half with his choice of deep-khaki loose-fitting skater-style pants. A matching beanie, emergency-orange fanny pack and streetwear-savvy Nike Dunks round off his get-up.

Hastily packed away your revere-collar shirts? Well, this dude is proof that there’s longevity in the short-sleeved summer staple. Opting for a multi-colored blotted shirt, he pairs his whacky pick with a pair of fall-ready check high-waisted pants. Copy his style and throw in a steezy bomber jacket when the temperature starts to dip. A Kevin and Perry-esque bucket hat, cross-body bag and adidas Ozweego 2 sneakers make for the ideal finishing touches. Oh, and it also helps that his partner’s mastered the muted-brown color palette too.

Another proponent of cargo pants, this fella’s streetwear ensemble is markedly laid-back in comparison to the others that feature in this list. To up the utilitarian vibes, he’s chosen to rock a pair of chunky-soled kicks in the same tone as his pants. A graphic-print tee and an artisanal fanny pack complete his casual look. For the transitional period, channel his style and layer up with an oversized hoodie to tackle the temperamental weather.

Now, you may be under the impression that grandadcore is well and truly over, but this chap is still backing the sartorial movement. His shiny black flat cap would definitely get the nod from most forefathers (and Samuel L. Jackson too). When it comes to the rest of his outfit, he switches up his style and goes for standout pieces from hyped brands. Throwing a two-tone BAPE jacket over his classic white T-shirt, he rocks a simple pair of black pants and a mini quilted Chanel purse for an ostentatious take on the cross-body bag trend.
