Lightweight and breezy, the short-sleeved shirt rightfully deserves a place in your spring/summer wardrobe. As a piece of kit that can be layered over a tee for relaxed daytime vibes or worn with a refined pair of pants for nights out, the short-sleeved shirt is one of the most versatile staples going. For inspiration on how to style yours for SS18, check out how our ASOS Insiders Jono and Nawal are rocking theirs in different ways this season.

Hailing from Australia, @asos_jono sure knows how to dress for warm weather. There’s a lot of hype surrounding revere collar Hawaiian-print shirts at the moment, but Jono’s decided to opt for a plain short-sleeved number in a bold color instead. He wears a white tank underneath his red shirt for laid-back '80s-flavored steez and adds some stark patterning to his outfit with a pair of ASOS MADE IN KENYA shorts. He finishes off his look with a pair of retro shades and all-white kicks. Too fresh.

Alternatively, @asos_nawal has gone for full-on Scandi vibes with his ensemble. Choosing to go for a monochrome color palette, Nawal’s look works as an everyday get-up as well as something to wear for a trip to the bar in the evening. Like Jono, he pairs his shirt with a plain white under layer. To make his graphic-print short-sleeved pick the focal point of his outfit, he keeps the rest of his aesthetic chilled: a pair of black cargo pants, old-school shades and Vans kicks nicely do the trick.
