FLAT LAY
YOUR HOLIDAY OUTFITS
By Lakeisha Goedluck, December 20, 2017

Getting the drinks in ahead of the family shenanigans, while being surrounded by your good friends from home, is the only way to kick off the festivities right. To fully get into the holiday spirit, go for a cosy getup that’ll have you sorted for a long stint at your local.
For your base layer, borrow from the '70s and pick a striped old-school-style half-zip. Layer a patterned V-neck sweater over the top to both play around with patterns and stay warm. Down low, make like your dad and opt for a pair of traditional checked pants to contrast the vibrancy of your top half. To round it all off, don a pair of Converse sneakers with simple white socks.

Aside from spending time with the fam, opening presents and unwittingly getting lured into watching Home Alone, the holidays are about stuffing your face with food. So, in order to be prepared for the mammoth eating session ahead, you’ve got to make sure you dress accordingly.
Go for a simple white T-shirt and layer up with a retro-inspired mohair cardigan — one that your grandma could’ve sworn she knitted for you last year. On your bottom half, give your gut some room and pop on a pair of relaxed adidas joggers. To finish off your feast-ready ’fit, opt for a pair of comfortable slip-on Vans and wear them with plain white socks. Happy munching!
