THE BEST NEW KICKS FOR JULY
By Titi Finlay, 22 July 2019
We are gathered here today to talk about one thing, and one thing only: the bevy of sweet sneaks that have dropped on ASOS this month. Whether you’re into retro classics or more about that futuristic edge, there’s a lil somethin’ for everyone in the our trainer section right now. Let us take you through our faves…
Nike Air Max 270 React
The Air Max 270 React is one of this summer’s hottest drops, and a solid gold mash-up of two great shoes: the AM270 and the React Element. With the React technology on the sole and the 270 cushioning on the heel, you best believe this shoe is comfy (and aesthetically pleasing) AF. *Adds hybrid sneakers to list of things Nike does best*
If you’re all about that dad-shoe life then feast your eyes on Nike’s latest retro revival: the P-6000. Based on the 00s running shoe look, with similar features to the recently released (and in-demand) Nike Vomero, this one’s got that old-school aesthetic everyone wants RN. This comes in multiple colourways, but we’re particularly vibing with the blue and silver. Warning: may cause serious clout.
adidas Originals Ozweego
This summer, adidas has re-imagined its classic Ozweego runner for the future, coming through in three über-bold colourways. The standout feature (and something that hasn’t been seen on a sneaker before) is the translucent support tube running through the lace loops and around the back of the ankle, making this a really innovative, future-proof model. Pair these with neutrals, or go all-out with a colour-matched neon tee.
PUMA Cell Speed
If the white kicks section in your wardrobe needs a summer-ready upgrade, then allow us to introduce you to Puma’s latest runner. We're here for the bright purple and neon-green deets, but what makes this shoe a must-cop is the Cell Technology in the sole. 5 stars for the comfort, and for the swag.
Although Wimbledon is officially over (boo), you can still get your retro tennis fix from this fresh new colourway c/o Reebok Classics. The bright-yet-understated forest green means this is the ideal shoe to take you from your summer to autumn wardrobe. Flex with some white tube socks and Dickies work pants and you’re good to go.
