For all you guys that like to keep things short, we’ve selected two products to help keep that stubbled style in tip-top nick. First up, we have Lab Series’ Electric Shave Solution. Specifically designed for (you guessed it), electric razors, it’s formulated with kola nut and chamomile extracts and aims to lift facial hair for a better shave. We’ve doubled up on the stubble info with Bulldog’s Original Stubble Moisturiser. It hydrates the skin without leaving a greasy residue on your shorter hairs with skin-soothing aloe vera, chamomile and green tea extracts giving your skin that extra TLC.

The verdict from Steven: 'There aren’t many products specifically designed for electric shavers, so this was a must-buy for me. It makes for a much smoother shave and a neater overall finish, which is ideal for my bleary-eyed morning routine. The Bulldog moisturiser was a sweet accompaniment. Soothing and grease-free with a creamy texture, it’s a dream team for anyone who makes stubble their thing. Use daily for sure.'

Next up, it’s one for all you mustachioed gents out there. For keeping your 'tache in check, we’ve selected Mr Natty The Famous Beard Elixir Oil. Yeah, we know it says ‘beard’, but a moustache is just a small beard for your top lip, right?

The verdict from Matt: 'It’s super important to me to keep my 'tache looking as good as possible (no one wants an old brush on their face). I use the Famous Beard Elixir from Mr Natty. It’s a beard oil, so it makes your moustache or beard super soft. To apply the oil, all I do is put a small amount into my hands and then apply. Not only does it soften the hair, but it moisturises the skin underneath. My skin is affected by the weather, so I'm all for any products that can moisturise. It smells lush and woody too, with notes of vetiver, pine and patchouli. I tend to use this product as and when needed, but it’s best to use it once a week.'

This Shea Moisture Shampoo (enriched with Jamaican caster oil) is perfect for afro hair types. The shampoo helps to prevent oil build up and locks in moisture that promotes healthy hair growth.

The verdict from Dan: 'I like to be particular with the products I choose. This shampoo's texture is really smooth and foams up lots once applied, so use it sparingly. I like to use it twice a week to help protect my afro hair’s natural oils and keep it feeling soft. My favourite things about it? The product’s amazing smell and how refreshing it felt as it foamed up.'

We're talking beard aftercare with this last product – a beard conditioner from Murdock London. It features a delicate PH-balanced, sulphate-free formula that protects your hair’s natural oils. Lovely.

The verdict from Ashley: 'The ingredients in this beard shampoo are ideal, as my skin can be quite sensitive to shaving, which means I tend to only use products that don’t irritate it further. It’s got a nice, creamy texture and I apply it once or twice a week. Grooming hack – lather it on pre-shower so the formula has time to really soak into the hair. Also, the smell is great – like, really really great. Use a 'beer-cap sized' amount and this bottle will keep you covered for a while.'
