SIX LOGO-OVERLOAD PICKS
By Steven Potter, 23 April 2019
This season, subtlety is out. We’re talking logos on logos on logos, peeps. Why settle for one iconic piece of branding when you can have as many as can fit on one garment? With designers such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga championing the movement, we've pulled out six of the most hype, logo-laden pieces on ASOS right now.
You can’t beat a short-sleeve shirt for your springtime vibe. This bold piece from Heart & Dagger not only seamlessly taps into the logo hype with a repeater-style print, but the logo has been stylised with a wavy 70s vibe. Ideal for representing all things throwback alongside the tie-dye trend. Simply team with a white tee underneath to bring out the detail and pair with some washed-out jeans to keep the retro vibes at a maximum.
What about down below? 90s sportswear brands are masters of logo play, but Kappa might just come out on top for those nostalgia feels. Check out these joggers with that instantly recognisable ‘Omini’ logo feat. a man and woman sitting back-to-back. It's meant to symbolise equality and support (in case it ever comes up in a pub quiz). Team with a classic white tee to match the taping.
If you want a more subtle take on this in-your-face approach to logo lovin’, pick up this Eastpak flight bag with an all-over print and logo patch – you know, in case there wasn't enough already. With bank holidays and festival season rapidly approaching, sensible-but-cool bags are an important part of your pre-summer wardrobe refresh.
Not all overbranded pieces need to be super-bright, though. Take this option from cult streetwear brand Crooked Tongues. In a super-wearable monochrome colourway, this shirt slots seamlessly into any casual rotation. If you’re big into the monochrome look, go the whole way with some black chinos, black-and-white kicks and a corresponding cross-body bag. So fresh and so clean.
It’s the little things that really matter – like cool AF socks. Skateboarding fave HUF keeps things simple with this sporty-style pair, complete with that all-important logo print. Team with some Vans and chinos for the summer, but cuff those bad boys up. After all, what’s the point of hiding statement socks as sweet as these?

One more short-sleeve shirt, cos spring, ya know? This time it's from workwear favourite Carhartt WIP. Another example of a more subdued take on the logo lifestyle, this beige and white piece can be the focal point of your new tonal look. Opt for some wide-cut cargo trousers and maybe a pocket-heavy gilet over the top to utilise those utility vibes currently doing the rounds.
