That’s why I’ve tested some travel-size skincare essentials – the most high-tech skincare and haircare in carry-on-friendly portions to make packing easier than ever.
House 99 Eye Balm | ASOS Style Feed

I never thought I’d be one to give into an eye balm, but this little guy has officially worked it’s way into my morning routine (especially after a night with next to no sleep). House 99's Truly Brighter Eye Balm takes up hardly any space but packs a massive punch when it comes to deflating those pesky under eye bags thanks to its caffeine-enriched formula. Ideal for when the jet lag kicks in.

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer | ASOS Style Feed

Whether my skin's suffering from city air, holiday heat, or even my commute, Origin’s energy-boosting moisturiser is a real life saviour. This travel-size version is lightweight and super easy to apply. My skin instantly felt awake and hydrated. Enriched with ingredients including coffee beans, cupuaçu butter and panax ginseng (I won't bore you with the science but have a quick Google to find out more), this superpower cocktail helps to build and repair your skin's natural barrier. It also leaves your skin with a sweet, subtle smell of citrus. Top tip: it'll work wonders for revitalising your skin post flight.

Dr Jart+ Travel Kit | ASOS Style Feed

When it comes to knowing what products to use while you're on the go, Dr.Jart+ is the one. Its best-seller travel kit has a number of grooming travel essentials, including creams to relieve redness and radiance serums for that extra holiday glow. And, my personal favourite, the Water Drop Hydrating Moisturiser. A super-light gel, it smells so refreshing and melts into a water-like droplet texture which allows for deep absorption. I like to use this as a base before I put on my favourite cocoa butter to lock in all the moisture. The set is just the gift that keeps on giving: it even comes in a cool iridescent bag that is sure to get you in the holiday mood.

Aveda Mint Travel-size Lotion | ASOS Style Feed

As someone who strongly believes mint should only be used in teas, chocolate and ice creams, I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Aveda's pocket-sized Rosemary Mint Body Lotion. Another super-lightweight cream with a deliciously smooth texture, it was really easy to apply and didn't leave an oily residue. Once applied, the mint has a really cooling effect on your skin, but the slowly released fragrance (certified organic rosemary and peppermint) isn’t too overpowering, which is definitely a win for me.

Last but not least, we have the men-ü Travel Kit, which has earned major brownie points for two simple reasons: it’s another well thought out kit with everything you need on your travels, and you will get so much use out of each one. The shower gels and shaving foam are full of a energising citrus-based scent which leaves you feeling fresh for your holiday. It also comes in a study wash bag with a cool striped design which can be repurposed after your hols as your gym-to-work buddy.
