Ah, autumn. The leaves have started to fall from the trees and there’s a distinct chill in the air, meaning those vitamin D-filled days are well and truly behind us.

Daniel testing out grooming products for autumn | ASOS Style Feed

With the sun gone and the rain set to become unrelenting, now’s the time to switch up your grooming routine. To prepare you for the start of the new season, ASOSer Daniel Reid tested out five products that’ll have your skin and hair prepared for whatever autumn’s planning to throw your way.

Hanz De Fuko Anti-Fade Shampoo | ASOS Style Feed

Whatever hair type you have, you’ll know that blistering winds, downpours and low temperatures don’t do anyone’s barnet any favours. As I have afro textured hair, it’s especially important to keep my strands and scalp as hydrated as possible – and that’s where this Hanz de Fuko Anti-Fade Shampoo comes in. Vegan-friendly and packed with seven plant extracts as well as shea butter, this lathers up really nicely to give your hair a deep and effective clean. And if you've got colour-treated hair, this one's a definite cop.

Barber PRO Skin Renewing Foil Mask | ASOS Style Feed

OK, so face masks may be new territory for some of you, but they’re more fun than they look – trust. This one from Barber PRO features hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring chemical – which helps your skin cells retain moisture. Thoroughly wash your face, slather this bad boy on and leave it to set for 20 minutes (it’ll feel warm and tingly on your skin but don’t panic). I tried the mask on a Sunday evening and it left my face looking fresh for the whole week.
