HOW WE DO: SNAKESKIN PRINT

If you’re looking to add a bit of flavour to your wardrobe this autumn, then, boy, do we have the right print for you. Forget leopard or tiger, it’s all about snakeskin prints for AW18. So, for inspiration on how to scale up your steez, see how the guys at ASOS HQ are wearing the pattern.

For a lesson on how to rock multiple prints at once, just take a look at our Artworker Nawal. Starting off with a traditional blue check shirt and slim-fit jeans, he layers up with an earthy print from workwear stalwart Levi’s.

To carry on the utilitarian vibe, he opts for a pair of snakeskin-effect boots which match the colour of his sweat. That way, he can play around with patterns without taking his aesthetic overboard.

Stripes paired with snakeskin may sound like a sartorial nightmare, but our Sportswear Fashion Editor Cobbie knows how to style the two harmoniously. The trick? Coordinate the direction of your stripes – Cobbie opts for a vertically printed polo shirt to mirror the pattern on his shorts.

On foot, he goes for a staple pair of black socks and minimal sandals to keep the focus on his shirt-and-shorts combo.

Now, everyone knows that if there’s one item of clothing you want to stand out, you’ve gotta keep the rest of your ensemble as minimal as possible. To emphasise his ultra-slick snakeskin-print shirt, our Fashion Editor Ben has opted for an otherwise all-black ensemble.
